Focus on ties with South Korea

MUSCAT — His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmood al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, received at his office yesterday Lee Myung-bak, former president of South Korea, who is currently visiting the Sultanate as a guest of honour at the fourth edition of Oman Economic Forum. Lee Myung-bak expressed his delight in visiting the Sultanate and hailed the achievements made in the Sultanate under the leadership of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, which contributed in enhancing its international position. He also commended the idea of holding the forum to shed light on avenues available in the Omani economy. The talks touched upon the means of supporting the Omani-Korean economic cooperation in a number of fields, particularly those related to developing small and medium enterprises. They discussed the objectives of forum, the foremost of which are diversifying sources of income.
