Majlis panel discusses issues with teachers

SOHAR — The Education and Scientific Research Committee at the Majlis Ash’shura met at the building of the Directorate General of Education in the Governorate of North Al Batinah yesterday with a number of male and female teachers of schools in the Governorate of North Al Batinah. Mohammed bin Rashid al Qanobi, Head of the Committee, explained that the field visits of the committee to the directorates general of education in various governorates of the Sultanate come to review the educational issues, highlighting the importance of these meetings in enriching the study, currently being conducted by the committee, to come up with various recommendations that serve the teachers. During the meeting, the teachers raised a number of issues, most importantly the issue of salaries as they affirmed that the salaries should come in line with their efforts, as well as the issue of the incentives and the pension allocations. — ONA
