RIO DE JANEIRO — The UN conference on sustainable development (RIO+20) concluded here yesterday with a set of recommendations focusing on political commitment on programmes of green economy and combating poverty in an institutional manner. Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, Mohammed bin Salim al Toobi, Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs, led the Sultanate’s delegation to the conference. Toobi delivered the Sultanate’s speech and reaffirmed the country’s vision on supporting international policies on sustainable development.
