SALALAH — With the Khareef (monsoon) season in Dhofar and the Salalah Tourism Festival in full swing, the Royal Oman Police (ROP) is rallying all efforts to control the number of road accidents which occur more often during the current misty spell.
Every year, a large number of road accidents occur along the Muscat-Salalah carriageway due to wrong overtaking, tiredness or lack of proper maintenance of vehicles.
Najda checkpoints are located at Saih al Zamamyim 93528659, Al Ghaftain 93530811, Qatbait 93528626 and Saih Al Khairat 93529610, while civil defence centres are located in Adam 98048005, Ghaba 92241647, Al Ghaftain 98048007, Qatbait 92391504, Thamrait 99435951, Salalah 99479463 and Saih al Khairat 92808469.
