Oman Automobile Club holds training workshop from July 7

MUSCAT — Oman Automobile Club (OAC) will organise a training workshop for organisers and drivers in motorsports in the Sultanate from July 7 to 10.
It will be under the supervision of the Institute of safety in the Federation Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) in co-operation with trainers in the Syrian Automobile Club and the British Motorsport Association and the Traffic Safety Institute at the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
The 4-day workshop aims at familiarising participants with rescue and first aid in motorsports and safety equipment for drivers, organisers and the public, as well as topics related to the most appropriate ways to ensure the safety of motorsport racings to achieve their tourist, sport and promotional objectives.
It is worth mentioning that the FIA has assigned the Supervisor General and Director of the Training Programme in the Syrian Automobile Club to visit the Sultanate to view the training places and meeting with OAC Board and in-charge officials. — ONA
