DOHA — His Majesty Sultan Qaboos arrived here yesterday on a three-day private visit to Shaikh Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani, Emir of Qatar, after His Majesty’s private visit to a number of European countries. Shaikh Hamad led the welcoming party for His Majesty the Sultan upon his arrival at Doha International Airport. His Majesty the Sultan was also received by Abdullah bin Khalifa al Attiyah, Minister of the State (Head of the Mission of Honour accompanying His Majesty), Yusuf Hussein Kamal, Minister of Economy and Finance, Shaikh Hamad bin Thamer al Thani, Chairman of Qatar Foundation for Information, Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad al Thani, Chief of the Emiri Diwan, Abdullah bin Mohammed al Khatir, Ambassador of Qatar to the Sultanate, and Mohammed bin Nassir al Wahibi, the Sultanate’s Ambassador to the State of Qatar.
His Majesty is accompanied by Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal al Busaidy, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen Sultan bin Mohammed al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Saud al Busaidy, Minister Responsible for Defence Affairs, Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdallah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, Darwish bin Ismaeel al Balushi, Minister Responsible for Financial Affairs, Mohammed bin Al Zubair, His Majesty the Sultan’s Adviser for Economic Planning Affairs, and Mohammed bin Nassir al Wahibi, the Sultanate’s Ambassador to the State of Qatar. The visit of His Majesty the Sultan to Qatar comes in support of relations between the brotherly peoples of Oman and Qatar. — ONA
