Muscat landscaping, beautification projects continue

MUSCAT — The General Directorate of Landscaping and Parks at Muscat Municipality continues implementing 40 children playgrounds and parks spread over all wilayats of the Governorate of Muscat in a well-studied plan to cover all residential areas. A set of service and developmental projects have been designed and prepared in horticulture, landscaping and beautification areas according to international specifications and standards with a firm association to originality and Omani aesthetic, social and cultural heritage to enhance the position of Muscat as a humane city stamped by originality and modernity.
The General Directorate of Landscaping and Parks has completed developing and beautifying Al Maridh (exhibitions) Street roundabout, situated between the Sultan Qaboos Road and Al Maridh Off road, with a total area of about 2.5 km and average 50 metres width in a modern style and equipped with all facilities and services for jogging, hiking and relaxation. Work also continues on the second stage of the Al Athaiba gardens next to the Sultan Qaboos Road. — ONA
