MUSCAT — Sitco LLC, a renowned name in office automation in the Sultanate of Oman, with the recent accreditation of ISO 9001; 2008 for quality in marketing and administration, has reassured its enhanced commitment to quality and in maintaining the customer trust.
“We are further committed to our promise of delivering quality at all levels- both in products and services”, avers V Jayaprakash, Managing Director, Sitco LLC.
“Crowning an international accreditation of this sort is really an added value to our existing business and to the usual course of business. At the same time, we are raising the bar on a regular basis and are challenging ourselves of higher ambitions of customer satisfaction”, V Jayaprakash added.
Started in the year 1983 as an office automation company, Sitco has grown to be the pioneer in office automation, large format printing and bureau services in Oman. It has been accredited with ISO certification effective June 22, 2012.
Sitco today represents in Oman world’s leading equipment brands such as Rex Rotary-”A Ricoh Company” (Japan) (photocopier, Printers and MFPs), Optoma(UK) (projectors), Drawing office equipment from Neolt (Italy), and sole distributor of Domino(UK) world’s leading coding and printing solution provider, and Evolis (France) Card Printers. It is also the regional distributor of Sericol (UK), the popular ink brand used in screen, narrow web and digital printing applications.
“Our entire team had to work hard to achieve this certification. We had to go through several operational procedures in the acquisition of this certificate. It was mandatory to fine tune our entire working style. Thus the main factor which needed to be fine tuned was a proper system in place. This involves a proper understanding and execution of the company’s policies and procedures. This system needed to be uniformly executed by the various departments of the company. To sum it up we needed to understand, document and communicate our company processes to all levels”, remembers V Jayaprakash.
“The going was difficult. Initially it was quite arduousness to go through the entire grid. But I remembered the saying ‘when the going gets tough, only the tough will get going’.
Once we have self- disciplined ourselves in having a system in place by religiously following the organisational practices, we by default have started getting into a system. This certainly has helped us in shaping us to a professional culture and better employee morale”.
As a distributor of world known brands, Sitco supports a number of ministries, corporate and crucial infrastructure and development projects in the country. Sitco has won many tenders with the ministries because of the confidence they have in their product line, the brand they support and the services they provide.
Adding yet another feather to the ever-glowing crown of Sitco, all the Ricoh products will be marketed by Sitco being the distributor in the days to come. “Ricoh is on the offset to launch a number of new products in the coming quarter at the market place,” says J Vinil Prakash, Product Manager, SITCO. “Ricoh International follows a multi brand approach in the world wide distribution of its products by which it distributes multiple brands in the same market which are essentially the same product from the same factory, but only differentiated by the brand sticker.
This approach has allowed Ricoh International comprising of all their brands to enjoy the No 1 market Share in the EMEA region and America.
