MUSCAT — The Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) yesterday started receiving a group of female students of the 27th batch of graduates of general education diploma at the grand hall of the SQU cultural centre where the admission procedures are completed for students of the Colleges of Science and Engineering. The expected number of female students in the College of Science is 276 and the College of Engineering is 98.
Admission procedure included submission of the required documents, receipt of the SQU card, open bank accounts, in addition to completing other procedures and receiving of Internet account and filling out the questionnaire for the admission process.
The admission process will continue until August 28. A committee has been formed to develop admission mechanism headed by the Assistant Dean for Admission and it is assigned with facilitating admission procedures, orientation of new students with university life and service and educational centres needed by the student during the period of his studies with participation of a group of parties from SQU. — ONA
