MUSCAT — The National Manpower Employment Index shows that 1,093 citizens received jobs in private sector establishments last week, (August 4-8), with 35.8 per cent of the workers employed in the construction sector, 23.2 per cent in the sector of wholesale, retail, automobile repair and personal/household goods and 10.8 per cent in the converting industries sector. According to the contracts signed, the holders of university degrees received jobs offering pay ranging between RO 450 to RO 3,300, while holders of diplomas received jobs offering RO 350 to RO 2,929 and holders of the General Education Diploma received jobs starting from RO 200.
