Omani products exhibition at LuLuTue, 23 February 2010
![]() MUSCAT — An exhibition of Omani products opened at Lulu Hypermarket yesterday as part of “Origin Oman” campaign. Organised by the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE), the exhibition lasts until March 15. Omani companies and factories operating in agricultural, industrial and product manufacturing areas are taking part in the exhibition. Various activities will be held on the sidelines of the exhibition, including a craft industries exhibition, traditional dance performances and a display of Omani foods. Mohsen bin Khamis al Balushi, Adviser at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, opened the exhibition. Al Balushi said that the exhibition aims to enlighten citizens and residents in the Sultanate about the quality and specifications of Omani products which, he said, are not less than international products. A wide range of agricultural and industrial products is on display, said Al Balushi, adding that such events keep local industries going and encourages them to increase production. He explained that other malls in the Sultanate will host similar events to encourage citizens and residents to buy Omani products. Hilal bin Hamad al Hasani, CEO of the PEIE, said that the exhibition will develop support to Omani products through partnerships with malls in the Sultanate which will promote the products and distribute them in their outlets and branches abroad. |
