LONDON — The euro rose against the dollar and yen yesterday on bargain hunting ahead of scheduled comments from US Federal Reserve chief Ben Bernanke, traders said.
The European single currency climbed to $1.3544 from $1.3509 in New York late on Tuesday.
Against the Japanese currency, the dollar slipped to 90.18 yen from 90.21 yen on Tuesday.
The single currency had fallen against the safe-haven dollar in New York on Tuesday following disappointing economic reports in the United States and Germany that deepened concerns about the global recovery. — AFP
