By Hasan Kamoonpuri - MUSCAT — The Department of Business Studies at Ibra College of Technology recently conducted an elocution competition on Oman’s Growth in the Last 40 Years as part of a series of activities planned to celebrate the 40th National Day of the Sultanate and the achievements during the blessed Omani Renaissance. The college will also be conducting an inter-collegiate quiz competition on November 1. The elocution competition was inaugurated by the College Dean, Dr Nabil al Bizreh.

He said, “It’s a very good opportunity for our students to showcase their skills as well as to highlight the Sultanate’s milestones achieved during the past 40 years of the blessed Omani Renaissance.” About 15 students from different departments at the college participated in the competition. All the participants spoke and focused on how the Omani economy and infrastructure have grown and developed over the last 40 years. The participants also showed glimpses of Oman’s growth in social development, education, healthcare and tourism sectors.
