KHASAB — The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Khasab branch yesterday organised a seminar on National Documents and Archives under the auspices of Shaikh Said bin Mohammed al Braiki, Governor of Musandam, in the presence of Dr Hamad bin Mohammed al Dhoyani, Chairman of the National Documents and Archives Authority (NDAA).
During the seminar, Al Dhoyani talked about the documents management system and the steps to preserve the rights and documented achievements, which are implemented in three stages — the activation stage in which such documents are circulated, the middle stage for classification, indexing and temporary preservation and the last stage (permanent preservation) to be thoroughly preserved from damage.
Sami Mali, an NDAA expert, lectured on the features of the contemporary system, benefits of the system to manage documents and joint documents between government departments and the NDAA folders and documents classification system among others. — ONA
