By Kaushalendra Singh - MUSCAT — Majlis Ash’shura has come a long way and it has started gaining ground now. The sixth Majlis Ash’shura election saw a massive turnout of voters. About 62 per cent of the registered voters cast their votes in different wilayats of the Sultanate to elect representatives of their choice.
The journey of Majlis Ash’shura starts with the vision of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, through which His Majesty wants maximum people’s participation in the overall development of the Sultanate. The process of election for the seventh term has already started. Sayyid Saud bin Ibrahim al Busaidy, Interior Minister, has already announced the opening of the door for nomination for the Majlis Ash’shura seventh term.
