AMMAN — Minister of State for Media Affairs and Communication Dr Nabil al Sharif praised the level of Omani-Jordanian relations saying they are strong and deep-rooted and developing based on the visions of two countries’ leaderships.
In a statement to Oman Arabic daily, our sister publication, Jordan and Sultanate are always keen on establishing contacts at all levels and enhance bilateral co-operation and co-ordination on all issues of common concern.
He commended the Renaissance achieved by Sultanate under His Majesty Sultan Qaboos in all fields.
He considered the Sultanate a distinguished Arab model for progress and sustainable development and it contributes effectively in Arab solidarity and consolidating prospects of joint Arab action.
The minister renewed his country’s condemnation of the recent Israeli actions in Jerusalem, describing them as serious and likely to undermine peaceful efforts in the region.
Jordan, he said denounces these acts of the occupation forces against Palestinian people which resulted in causing tens of casualties among them recently.
He added that we urge the international community, “to pressurise Israel into stopping its aggressions against the holy places and targeting unarmed Palestinians.
“We call on Israel to respect international resolutions regarding Palestinian question.”
