Libyan Cultural Week kicks off from todaySat, 03 April 2010
MUSCAT — The Sultanate, represented by the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, will host a Libyan Cultural Week from today. The event will kick off under the auspices of Dr Hamad bin Mohammed al Dhowyani, Chairman of the National Authority for Documents and Authority. The cultural week programme will be carried out in the context of brotherly relations between the Sultanate and Libya and aims at cementing cultural ties. It will include lectures, seminars, exhibitions and a display of Libyan publications, folk and musical arts. The main venues of the Libyan Cultural Days will be the Sultan Qaboos University, Nizwa University, Sohar University, the College of Applied Sciences in Sohar, Modern College, the Cultural Club and the Omani Society for Fine Arts. — ONA |
