MANAH — His Majesty Sultan Qaboos received at Hisn Ash’shumookh Castle in the Wilayat of Manah yesterday the credentials of six non-resident ambassadors accredited to the Sultanate.
His Majesty received the credentials of Lauri Bambusl, non-resident ambassador of Estonia; Jaime Srgio Carda, non-resident ambassador of Argentina; Dag Juhlin, non-resident ambassador of Sweden; Sairraan Kader non-resident ambassador of Mongolia; Bui Quoc Trung, non-resident ambassador of Vietnam; and Jean Paul Tarud non-resident ambassador of Chile to the Sultanate.
During side meetings with His Majesty the Sultan, the ambassadors conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the leaders of their respective countries, along with their best wishes of continuous progress and prosperity for the Omani people.
The ambassadors said they were greatly honoured to present their credentials to His Majesty the Sultan. They pledged to do their best to promote relations between their countries and the Sultanate in the common interest of all.
His Majesty the Sultan welcomed the ambassadors and expressed his appreciation for the greetings and best wishes of President Toomas Hendrik Ilves of Estonia, President Cristina Elizabeth Fernandez of Argentina, King Carl Gustaf of Sweden, President Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj of Mongolia, President Truong Tan Sang of Vietnam and President Sebastian Pinera of Chile. He affirmed that the ambassadors will receive his full support, as well as the support and co-operation of the Omani government and people.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, the Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, the Head of the Royal Protocols, the Commander of the Royal Guard of Oman and Military Aides to His Majesty the Sultan.
