MUSCAT — His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, received here yesterday Hussein Amir Abdulhayan, Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs in Iran and Head of the Iranian side in the Strategic Consultation Committee between the Sultanate and Iran.
He conveyed greetings and best wishes of the leadership in Iran to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos, his government and the Omani people. HH Sayyid Fahd reviewed the march of relations between the two friendly countries, in addition to the current situations in the region and the efforts exerted to contain them in a bid to achieve security and stability for all peoples.
Conversation during the meeting touched on means of supporting deliberations of the Strategic Consultation Committee between the Sultanate and Iran and mechanisms of its work, in addition to reviewing current issues at the regional and international arenas. Hussein Amir Abdulhayan expressed his gratitude and that of his accompanying delegation for the visit that availed them with an opportunity to discuss a number of topics with officials.
He affirmed appreciation of the Iranian leadership for the Sultanate's balanced policy in its international relations and its positive contribution in enhancing co-operation and stability in the regional arena, thanks to its wise leadership.
