Mutual visits vital for stronger bond

HM, Khalifa attend folklore shows — AL AIN — As part of the private visit of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos to the United Arab Emirates, His Majesty yesterday received President Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed al Nahyan at his residence at Shuaiba Rest House here where the two leaders held a session of talks. They completed discussion on an array of topics of mutual concern within the framework of bilateral ties between the two brotherly peoples.
His Majesty the Sultan and Shaikh Khalifa stressed the importance of 1334508880077107000 mutual communication and the significance of visits which deepen their exemplary fraternal bilateral bonds for the best interest of the two brotherly peoples. Later, His Majesty the Sultan and Shaikh Khalifa watched folkloric performances and songs conducted by local troupes. They also listened to poems in praise of the deep-rooted relations between the Omani and Emirati peoples.
An Oud and Qanon band played selective pieces of famous musical compositions in honour of His Majesty’s visit to the UAE. The performances were attended by General Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed 1334508964317130000 al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Also present was the official delegation accompanying His Majesty the Sultan and a number of shaikhs and dignitaries and senior UAE officials.
The three-day visit of His Majesty once again demonstrates most succinctly that His Majesty the Sultan is always keen to maintain and further deepen bilateral relations with all in general and the neighbours in particular.
His Majesty visits the UAE annually to take stock of bilateral ties. The current visit assumes special role in view of the geopolitical changes in the region. The need to maintain unity among all Arab and Muslim nations when changes are occurring cannot be overestimated. — ONA/WAM
