CAIRO — The Sultanate participated in the expert-level consultation meeting in an Arab preparation for Rio+2 conference.
The delegation of the Sultanate was chaired by Mohammed bin Salim al Toobi, Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs.
The extraordinary session of the Council of the Arab Ministers responsible for Environmental Affairs held yesterday aimed at presenting Arab countries notes on draft zero of Arab ministerial declaration on sustainable development, to be submitted to the Council of Ministers, inviting Arab countries and the Council's Technical Secretariat to continue the Arab preparation for Rio+2, in collaboration with Western Asia Economic and Social Committee and
the UN Environment Programme. — ONA
