Oman, Cultural and Natural Heritage launched

MUSCAT — A colourful book titled Oman, Cultural and Natural Heritage was launched at Al Bustan Palace Hotel here on Monday by Information Minister Dr Abdulmunim bin Mansour al Hasani. The book, published by Natural Gas Fenosa, appears in Arabic and six foreign languages. Commenting on the new book, Dr Abdulmunim said that, “While languages take the Sultanate’s cultural and natural heritage across the borders to many countries around the world through this book, its images touch the heart directly and impart a deep feeling of a formidable nation and an astonishing country that is Oman.

With specialist Omani write-ups and photography, the book receives Spanish sponsorship that takes good care in presenting this model of civilisation to the international community. The ceremony, which also marks the International Day of the Book (April 23), was attended by Mohammed bin al Zubair, Adviser to His Majesty the Sultan for Economic Planning Affairs, Mohammed bin Salim al Toobi, Minister of Environment and Climate Affairs, Salvador Gabbaro Serra, Chairman of Natural Gas Fenosa, and Ana Maria de Lara, Honorary Consul of Oman in Spain who headed the inaugural presentation, among high ranking Omani government officials and Spanish personnel.
Fenosa published three editions of the book in Spanish, English and Arabic in 13,700 copies and supplements in Italian, French and Portuguese.
