Maritime achievements to be showcasedSat, 28 April 2012
![]() MUSCAT — The Sultanate is finalising the preparations to take part in the Yeosu 2012 International Exposition, which will be held in South Korea’s southern coastal city of Yeosu from May 12 to August 12. The theme of Oman’s pavilion will be ‘Nurturing Marine Wealth’ that is built on the expo’s overall theme of ‘Living Ocean and Coast’, which will showcase the diversity, innovation and commitment of Oman towards sustainable development. Oman’s pavilion will have a visitors’ reception area, different sections showcasing threats to marine environment, maritime history and Omani culture, modern Oman, how to protect our future, with the last section consisting of 4D film highlighting several features of the country and the country’s maritime achievements. It will also promote the Sultanate as a tourist and business destination, which will boost the country’s investments in various economic fields. — ONA |
