![]() MUSCAT — The work on the 104-km stretch of the Al Batinah Coastal Road (stages I and II) is completed and some portions of the road were opened to traffic, said Munir bin Baqir al Mosawi, Supreme Committee for Town Planning (SCTP) Secretary-General. In a statement to Oman News Agency (ONA), Al Mosawi said the total length of the two stages is 126 km and 49 km out of 59 km of the first stage is completed. This section extends from the Wilayat of Barka to Widam of Al Sahil. He said RO 180 million was paid in compensations for owners of houses and farms which were affected by the construction of the road. He said that 70 per cent of the project has been completed. |
