MUSCAT — The expansion project along Al Athaiba section of the highway adding a third lane and other links to ease traffic is fast progressing according to reports from the Muscat Municipality which is carrying out the expansion plan.
Once the project is completed, the expanded highway will also help drain rainwater across wadis in this part of the city thus help solving the drainage problems of wadi water in Al Athaiba area. The project envisages the connection of all traffic lights electronically, the expansion of Wadi al Athaiba flyover.
