TEAM Oman Qadiroon created history by winning the first-of-its-kind Focus Rabaa Rally that recently culminated at the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The Focus Rabaa Rally is a 4,000 km race covering of 6 GCC countries — Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman and the UAE. Team Oman Qadiroon members Azzan Abdul Amir Hameed, Faisal Fadhil Mahmood al Bakri and Abdullah Said al Kharusi including Captain Nabil al Busaidy were extremely delighted to achieve such a memorable victory.
The winning members of Team Oman Qadiroon along with the online pit crew member also from Oman, have won a total of 4 brand new Ford Focus as prizes. As part of the launch activities surrounding Ford's much-loved and highly successful model — the all new Ford Focus, Ford recently announced a first-of-a-kind exciting pan GCC activity which began on April 24. 2012.
Speaking on the occasion an excited Team Oman Qadiroon's member Faisal Fadhil Mahmood al Bakri said: “What we as a team have achieved today will go down in our book of the finest memories, for time to come.” “Every minute of this rally has been highly exciting and challenging, but we as a team never stopped giving every moment our best.” He also went on to add “I use this moment to thank our fans, our close friends and our co-workers for continuously believing in us and supporting us whenever we needed it.”
At the top of the first-of-its-kind Ford Focus Rally are the winners Team Oman Qadiroon with a grand tally of 395 points. This was closely followed by Team Qatar at 360 points, followed by Team Bahrain with 350 points.
The day before the final round of the Ford Focus Rabaa Rally, all the rally teams were in the Sultanate for the Oman round of the rally. During this leg all the rally teams made a special visit to the Ford showroom at Wattayah.
It was here that Ford's key customers and specially invited fans were in for a unique treat at a highly entertaining and exciting event with a first-of-its-kind opportunity to come face to face with the Focus Rabaa Rally Teams.
The event had loads of exciting activities that gave both the Focus Rabaa Rally Stars and the passionate fans opportunities to interact and share their encouraging wishes for the competition.
An extremely delighted Team Oman's Captain — Nabil al Busaidy said, “It always feels good to be back home. The fans in Oman have showered me with their encouraging wishes. And every one of them will transform into memories which I will cherish for long.”
Sharing his thoughts on the Ford Focus Rabaa Rally, the first-of-its-kind event ever held, he added, “Ford is no longer just concentrating on the product alone. They are actively going beyond to reach out to consumers and present them with loads of pleasant segment-first experiences.”
