OUTLOOK — By Abdullah Al Hoqani — The article New Era of Change by the Editor-In-Chief of Observer on May 6 has covered many aspects of change, mainly the changes taking place in the country. I feel it was a very valuable article. This has made me to contribute and add a few words on this subject.
Change is a word of significant meaning or perhaps is the core of the philosophical science and thought. A change is the continuous renewal or refreshing of the new lifestyle that keeps abreast with the ongoing development with the new technological environment.
However change is inevitable especially in the changing world of development and lifestyle in the daily life requirements.
The word change here doesn't mean altering the existing situation of lifestyle or any other style, but is the renewal or refreshing to the best of the living style of a man with the requirements of living standard. It has become necessary at the present situation for all establishments, agencies and other institutions concerned to adapt to changes.
There is no doubt and it is axiomatic that human being by his nature is liable to change in his own life, so that to be able to familiarise with the current development of different aspects of progress of knowledge.
It is clear that the improvement of people in education is only the way to meet the challenges of the rapid improvement which will ensure and enhance the country's future.
However, industrial, scientific and technology revolution has necessitated people to change from their old thinking to the new thoughts of innovation, education and civilisation. It is worth noting that, the changes are always cohesive with the human resource development (HRD). Hence people’s development is necessary by training them and to ensuring that people are well-educated to meet, and apprehend the required challenges.
Meeting such criterion there will be a need to put more efforts on HRD that will contribute to the organisations’ goals and competition in production.
The world is in continuous search of finding suitable ways of HRD and there are seminars and meetings held from time to time based on this subject.
Nevertheless, the weather of change in environment and the world economic atmosphere is under way, and we must meet it with a satisfied spirit. As it can be noticed comparing with the last 10 years of our life and today's life there is tremendous changes, and still changes are going on.
As the economy is the mainstay of any country and on it the decisions of the development of the country in any sectors are taken, the people are the one who will be carrying out this duty. Therefore there is no ambiguity that trained people are required to fulfil this task.
The matter of change is wide and has much explanations but a change is a must for all to meet the changeable atmosphere, and mainly the rapid expansion and changes including human environment and other new innovations. A change will change you if you are not preparing to change yourself.
