Port Services honoured with award

MUSCAT — Port Services Corporation SAOG has been honoured with a prestigious award from the world famous cruise operator — Royal Caribbean International during their 2011 — 2012 Middle East Awards Ceremony conducted in Dubai on April 30. This is in recognition of the exceptional service and support provided by the Corporation to their cruise vessels called at Port Sultan Qaboos (PSQ) during 2011 — 2012 season.
Royal Caribbean International, part of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd who operates Celebrity Cruises, Azamara Club Cruises, Pullmantur, CDF Croisieres de France, as well as TUI Cruises through a 50 per cent joint venture with TUI AG, is a global cruise brand with 22 innovative ships, calling on more than 270 destinations in 72 countries across six continents. The line also offers unique cruise tour land packages in Alaska, Canada, United Arab Emirates, Europe, Australia and New Zealand.
Port Services Corporation, in association with the ROP and immigration, made the embarkation and disembarkation process at PSQ easy and user friendly. This year the corporation has welcomed 76 cruise vessels with a passenger count of 12, 9926 disembarking and 12, 9920 embarking.
