Postal regulation on agenda

MUSCAT — Majlis Ash’shura on Saturday will discuss report of the Legal Committee on the study of the draft law of the postal services regulation and report of the Economic Committee on proposed amendments to the provisions of the banking law.
The two committees conducted an extensive study for the two draft laws and put forward their remarks and recommendations so the Majlis will discuss reports of the two committees and decide whether to approve them
and raise them to the government or return them back to the committee for further studies.
The session will review the written reply of the Environment and Climate Affairs Minister to the question raised by Ali bin Khalfan al Qutaity, member of the Majlis, on the pollution resulted from the industrial projects and quarries in the various governorates.
The session will also study the written reply of the Manpower Minister to the question raised by Khalid bin Hilal al Nabhani, member of the Majlis, on the appointment policies in the colleges of technology in addition to reviewing the proposal of Humaid bin Ali al Nasri, member of the Majlis, on lighting Ibri-Hafeet road.
Meanwhile, The HR Development Committee at the Majlis Addawla in a bid to complete its study yesterday hosted the Director-General of Planning and Development and General Manager of Administration and Finance and Director of Personnel at the Ministry of Manpower.
The meeting discussed policies, laws and regulations that regularise administrative performance in a number of service ministries.
The committee continues to host officials from various ministries to complete its study and benefit from the practical experiences of the guests in the field of
human resources development and management at the Ministry. — ONA
