Mon, 28 May 2012

MUSCAT — The Oman Football Association (OFA) will be giving away fabulous prizes during the lead up to the biggest match in the Sultanate — 2014 World Cup qualifier against Australia on June 8 — to avid football fans and supporters of the Red Warriors.
The OFA will be giving away some of the biggest prizes during the Australia match on June 8 at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Stadium. One lucky fan will win a fantastic return trip to the UK with accommodation to watch Ali al Habsi play in one of Wigan’s anticipated matches.
The winner will also receive Ali al Habsi’s exclusive new team jersey worn at the qualifying match against Australia plus Taj-branded football merchandise. The OFA will also be picking 20 lucky winners from the crowd at random on June 8 to give away RO 4,000 worth of cash prizes to some of the national team’s best supporters.
Great prizes won’t be given away only on match day but the OFA is also giving away game tickets and big prize packs to football fans across Oman weekly online through the Facebook – www.facebook.com/omannationalfootballteam and Twitter — www.tiwtter.com/omanfa as well as OFA’s 2014 World Cup dedicated website www.ofa.om/worldcup/en.

Hazzaa Salim Al Saadi, Chief Executive Officer of the OFA, said: “The national team are calling on fans to show their support for the team and for football in Oman by coming down to watch them play at the qualifying match against Australia next month. “We are delighted to be able to offer fans a once in a lifetime experience and we are looking forward to giving away these fabulous prizes to our passionate football supporters.”

After the successful launch of the OFA’s Sharik card — which provides each card holder with free access to every home game of the 2014 World Cup together with all the friendlies taking place in Muscat general tickets are now on sale for the June 8 match priced at just RO 2 per ticket. The tickets and Sharik cards are available from OFA’s marketing partners so log on to www.ofa.om/worldcup/en for more information.
