![]() QURAYAT — Wadi Dayqah dam is witnessing a big turnout of visitors keen to savour the beauty of the aquatic structure, which is the largest one of its kind in the Sultanate. The dam can store up to 100 million cubic metres of water in its lake. It is facing Al Mazarea area, which is famous for its date palm trees and plenty of small water bodies that serve as swimming pools. Facing the water body held behind the dam of Wadi Dayqah, there lies a park with large swathes of green landscape that encourages tourists to flock to the area from all parts of the Sultanate and abroad, particularly during holidays. The dam is a project undertaken by the Ministry of Regional Municipalities and Water Resources, with a view to rationalising water resources, achieving sustainable development and developing tourism potential. |
