MUSCAT — A work team of the Majlis Ash’shura Legal Committee yesterday held a meeting of the first annual sitting for 2011-2012 of the seventh term under the chairmanship of Said bin Ghanim al Muqbali, Head of Committee and the team.
The team discussed the draft of the final report on verifying land ownership. A rapporteur was named for the topic. The team reviewed themes of the Minister of Civil Service’s statement to be delivered at the beginning of the first annual sitting upon which it took appropriate decisions.
The team approved the draft of opinion on tasking the Majlis Office in respect to addressing the situation of recruiting expat workers in the Sultanate.
The team has completed its stand on lifting parliamentary immunity of one of the members in preparation to raise it at the next meeting of the Majlis due to be held on Saturday. — ONA
